Final del Viaje............

Yesterday finally arrived my suitcase home. As you may know swissair lost my luggage coming back from singapore. Buta yesterday i could open it and i already have my clothes, my gifts, the souvenirs, my tasmania honey (ummmm delicious) and all the memories from such great travel ;-)

Thanks to all of you. For reading this stupid blog, and send me emails during my travel. It was so nice to have news from the other part of the world.

Last week has been quite hard. Return to work (always difficult) and one month off is enough to disconnect from your daily life, which is good...that means i've got it.

Next stop Lisbon, next week i will go with some friends to discover that lovely city. Everybody has talked to me about city really good.

Last weekend i went to Segovia to see my family...here you go a nice picture from "Acueducto".

Todo tarde o temprano tiene un fin.... y mis vacaciones se estan agotando por momentos.

Hello, i'm already in Singapore, it is good but also means my vacations are almost over...and i already miss Australia a lot...so next wednesday when i arrive in Madrid i'm going to miss everything and everybody i have met on this trip (old friends and new friends)

Last 2 days in Sydney were quite crazy going out till the sun come up again, drinking a lot, and having fun a lot...(i will not give more explanations hehehe)

On thursday night i met a couple from Alicante and we had dinner on friday, they were very nice and it was good to speak spanish for a while after over 3 weeks.

On friday i was walking arond Opera House & Harbour Bridge again, just to keep in my mind a little bit Sydney landscape. Saturday morning packing my luggage and having a brunch in one of the lovely many places around Michael's house. For spaish people where Michael lives is very similar to Malasanya/Chueca in Madrid.

By the way i forgot to tell you about last monday....we went to Bondi beach again to see the "Sculptures by the sea". A lot of sculptures by the se side, most of them were at least funny or curious....even the good point was the location, in the sand, over the rocks, .... a nice walking. We finished the visit in the Bondi Icebergs Club having a drink in a terrace enjoying the view.

Currently now i'm in singapore again with my friends Vic & Conny, we tried to go today to the chinese & japanese gardens but it was raining a lot and we had to run away from there. We were doing some shopping and walking in chinatown.

I'm going to take easy those last 2 days here, nothing special, just enjoying the Singapore, i'm not in a rush at all.

Today is wednesday 15th Nov, it is 10:30 pm and here i'm in the middle of the forest in a lovely house listening to the music, with the computer and....alone.....
I'm in a little town named Batemans Bay, 300km south of Sydney. I came here with Angelo, a friend of my friend Michael, to stay here 3 days in a relax way. He is working tonight so here we are alone in his house which is very nice, just in the forest but very close to the seaside, where you can find gorgeus beaches.

Yesterday we came by car, Angelo took me to a place close to his village called Durras where you can see a lot of kangaroos living free in the country, and you can play a little bit with them. It's been the first time since i arrived here i've seen free kangaroos. There were about 12 females with "kids" and one big male, the manager of the group. If any other male want to stay here must fight with the current male manager to get the position, otherwise he must go to the forest. In the picture below the male one comes quickly to me, it is so funny seeing these animals jumping...he wanted some food.

I have also seen some wallabies crossing the road, so the signals warning you about these animals are true hehehe.
Today, wednesday we went to do some hiking, we went to Pigeon House Mountain, in Morton National Park (the edge of the Budawang Wilderness) about 4h return. It is not a so high peak but since there you reach lovely views, wonderful landscapes, gorgeus lookouts,... you only see forest, forest, forest, forest, forest (or bush like the call it here) no houses, from one side you can see the seaside but not houses either. To get to the start point we had to drive about 1h by a narrow path. I have included some pictures.

Well, i dont know if i will connect anymore till i arrive to Singapore. Tomorrow i'm going back to Sydney (I LOVE SYDNEY) in the afternoon. On Friday i will walk again in Sydney... probably we will have dinner with some friends i've met here to say bye to them. Saturday morning will be easy, just preparing the luggage (trying to zip everything in my small suitcase) i have bought many things, including some books.....crazy.

I'll lbe there in Singapore 3 days more to see again my lovely and charming friends there (Victoria & Conny and the pretty 2 girls Louise & Elin). Tueday night i'm flying back to Madrid.

Oooooh! I dont want to go back. Even with the job bad news i have received beeing here in Australia. Anyway i'm going to enjoy the remaining days here and NO WORRIES MATES

Y hoy domingo 12 en el Newtown Festival 06:

Estos son Mark a mi derecha, y Rory a mi izquierda....veis mi camiseta? NO WORRIES, como ellos dicen por aqui constantemente.

y a continuacion un pequenyo ejemplo de la flora y fauna del lugar

Ayer en La Parouse.....No direis que no tiene gracia la foto con la mezcla de colores mia y del paisaje ;-)

El viernes toco Isla Fitzroy, con una playa nudista que para llegar a ella hay que andar un poquito por el bosque y me dio tiempo a ver lagartos varios, pajaros y una serpiente pequenya.

Y el jueves toco BARRIER REEF, osease la barrera de coral. Viaje en un pequenyo barco con gente muy maja y agradable: Hice snorkelling y, para ser la primera vez fue una pasada de chulo. La cantidad de peces de colores y demas animalitos que se ven. El coral es de multiples colores y son como montanyitas en el mar. Vimos hasta un tiburon inofensivo y una tortuga enorme.

Con el buceo no me atrevi ;-)

Luego fuimos en lancha a la Green Island, muy bonita pero un poco saturada de gente. La foto es de la parte "trasera" por decirlo de algun modo, me di la vuelta entera a la isla.

El miercoles me fui a Kuranda con un tren que recorre unos parajes muy bonitos: Kuranda es una villa pequenya en la montanya, en medio de la jungla, por donde estuve haciendo un pequenyo recorrido. A la vuelta me subi al funicular, de 7,5km sobre el bosque hasta llegar a Caravoca:

Y casi lo mejor del dia fue el encuentro con los aborigenes, quiza pudiese ser un poco artificial pero merecio la pena saber un poco mas de ellos y su situacion actual:

Luego hicimos un crucero por el Daintree river y ver cocodrilos pero nada de nada, estaba descansando.....y huyendo de turistas como nosotros:

Al final de la tarde llegamos a Cape Tribulation, playas paradisiacas pero vacias por las medusas, y en este caso adicionalmente por los cocodrilos: Tengo muchas mas fotos pero la verdad que lleva un rato ponerlas aqui.

Hola de nuevo.
Siento estar un poco limitado tecnologicamente pero de momento no os puedo poner fotos, a ver si el sabado cuando vuelva a Sydney lo hago.
I'm here since last monday in Cairns (for spanish people say keeeeeeerns)
Last two days have been quite busy in the jungle the whole day.

****Tuesday 7th nov: i expected to be a "wild" adventure but when i saw the "youg people" coming with me i said "ok, it is going to be a relaxed day" but not because we did so many things, going in a minibus with a guide telling us about everything.
1.- Mossman Gorge: a very nice area in the jungle very humid, nice river, and nice walkpath about 40 min.
2.- Cruise into Daintree river expecting to see a lot of crocodriles but no one in fact. Water is too hot for them and they prefer stay in the shadow. But nice views from the boat.
3.- Lunch close to the beach, lovely beach with coconuts trees BUT EMPTY because of the jellyfish (medusas) Do you remember what i told you about very dangerous jellyfish. We are in the jellyfish season and it is very dangerous. In some places they have a small net to protect an area and then ONLY THERE you can swim. This is the reason they have beautiful swimming pools very close to the see.
4.- Cape Tribulation, another lovely place but, in this case besides the jellyfish you also have cocodriles warning....so just for walking.
We did more stops but so quick and i will tell you in detail later when i go home jeje

****Wednesday 8th nov: Time to go to Kuranda with the Scenic Train, and old train line going from Cairns to Kuranda, a little village in the middle of the jungle, in a hill (384m) Lovely travel, views, tunnels, rainfalls, lookouts to the see, ...
The Village is small full of shops & bars, but it is quite goos for a jungle walkpath, i saw some animals, a big lizar which scared me a little bit.
I took the skyrail (funicular) 7,5km to another city with 2 stops in them middle. I was alone in the canibet enjoying the amazing landscape.
And.....i had my contact with aborigens, exactly with Tjapukai tribe. There is a small park where thay recreate their life. Dancing, food, tools, boomerangs...some videos very interesting (i tried with boomerang but i did pretty bad)

ya estoy en Cairns
son las 6:30 pm una hora menos que en Sydney y 9 mas que en Madrid
estos dias ando yo solo por aqui, de nuevo llega el sol y el buen tiempo
este pueblo ciudad, con una pinta de ciudad americana increible, tiene clima tropical, de nuevo la humedad pero no tanto como en Singapur
como en la misma ciudad no hay playa en condiciones se han montado algo parecido al lado del mar, un sitio que se llama Lagoon y es una especie de playa-piscina muy agradable, gratis con zonas verdes alrededor donde me he dado un banyito esta tarde
Hoy ha sido un dia de relax y de preparativos varios. Estoy en un hotel de estos para mochileros y me doy cuenta que la edad media debe ser de 20 anyos, jovencitos, algunos todavia con acne en busca de aventura. Pero bueno he conseguido un ahb doble para mi solo por 38 bugs (dolares australianos) aprox 25 euros, asi que no esta mal, no tiene banyo pero bueno si que tiene aire acondicionado.
Hoy me he dedicado a comprarme una toalla, que me deje en sydney, comprar gel, cambiar el billete de vuelta (me quedare unos dias mas en Australia, hasta el 18, asi que todavia tengo casi otros dos fines de semana para salir de marcha por sydney jeje)
Vi el museo de cairns, que te cuenta un poco la historia del pueblo, dos viejecitas muy simpaticas te atienden, y el sitio tiene un aire a rancio y un poco descuidado pero que le da un encanto especial.
Tambien vi la Cairns Art Gallery, sitio con pinturas de los aborigenes y cuatro cosas mas en un edifico bonito (para lo que hay por aqui)
Ya he reservado mi viaje al wild bush. Recorrido por la australia salvaje, vere canguros, cocodrilos, koalas, recorrido en barco, etc etc....
Para el miercoles me toca hacer el recorrido en el tren que te lleva a Kurunga, que tiene unas vistas impresionantes, 7 puentes, varios tuneles, cascadas, alli hare integracion con aborigenes (la tribu en cuestion tiene un nombre raro que no recuerdo) y luego tocar teleferico que te hace recorrido de 7 kms por el bosque.....
El jueves me toca la barrera de coral, con barquito de cristal, snorkeling, etc...
Asi que una semana ajetreada.
Siento no poder poner fotos en mi blog, estoy con un maldito mac en el hotel y estoy limitado.

Y a peticion de los lectores ahi van algunos canguros.....

Y domingo hemos estado haciendo recorrido por Sydney, porque era el Sydney Open 06. Una especia de jornadas de puertas abiertas para poder acceder a edificios que normalmente no se puede, desde edificios mas clasicos a algunos de los rascacielos mas altos de la ciudad. En la foto estamos en la planta 47 del Australian Square tomando un cafe, con el Opera House al fondo. Es un sitio muy chulo porque la planta entera gira....entonces mientras te tomas el cafe puedes disfrutar de una vista panoramica de 360 grados.

Hemos intentado entrar en el rascacielos del Deutche Bank, uno nuevo muy bonito, pero parecia que era el hotspot del dia y habia colas de mas de una hora. El edificio en cuestion es este de la derecha.

Por cierto ayer toco barbacoa, y hubo jamon serrano y todo....hasta chorizo jeje, lo pasamos bien, aunque al final se me hacia un poco pesado estar con 10 personas, todos hablando deprisa y a la vez y todo en ingles. Yo ya les dije en algun momento que desconectaba, porque me exigia mucha concentracion. Asi que me di al vino y a la cerveza jeje

Bueno manyana ya toca viajar de nuevo, me voy a Cairns, al norte de australia, noreste aprox. Alli me espera la gran barrera de coral y algunos parques naturales.

Por cierto, me han regalado miel de Tasmania, un CD de un grupo Australiano (ya lo comentare en el otro blog) y estoy aprendiendo algunas palabras de slang australiano, chicky, stark, bush, no worries, ..... La verdad que estos tipos son un poco cantarines y hablan arrastrando las palabras....

Hola, ayer sabado toco dia mas tranquilo, paseo por la ciudad, visitando algunos centros comerciales en los cuales ya es navidad y ahi estaba santa claus y los villancicos..... Especialmente bonita la decoracion de David Jones (algo asi como el corte ingles de por aqui jeje)



Estuve en el Museum of Comtemporary Art, y bueeeeeeeeeeeeeno.....esperaba mas, aunque bueno siendo gratis. Tiene poquita cosa, y al ser de arte contemporaneo son cosas un poco raras y no se si arte 100%. Vi una exposicion de Juan Davila, un chileno afincado en Sydney que tiene unos cuadros y demas montajes varios muy agresivos, con mucha violencia y mucho sexo, la verdad se me hizo pesado.
Como podeis ver en las fotos llevamos un par de dias con el cielo gris y dias lluviosos, no mucho pero casi todo el dia chispeando, lo cual no molesta mucho para pasear.
